Poultry feeding from new troughs supplied by the TeleFood project. - - Improved Traditional Poultry Rearing: TFD-97/GUI/003. This TeleFood project, approved in 1998 with a budget of USD 8 000, has been executed by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) with the technical support of the Guinean Ministry of Agriculture.
The project, which has been set up in the districts of Boffa, Forecariah and Kindia, is aiming to improve the production and traditional rearing of poultry through better genetic engineering, hygiene and conditions for breeding. Improved poultry rearing will offer income-earning opportunities and enable rural women to raise their standard of living.
