Background Information
Forestry expert, Mr. Louis Huguet (France) has been in Mexico Since 1951 on a technical assistance assignment for FAO. Attached to the Nacional Financiera, A Mexican Government development agency, his main activities have been concerned with the development of the forest resources of the State of Michoacán. He has drafted plans for the establishment of integrated forest industries; including a pulp and newsprint plant, carried out a detailed forest inventory and prepared a forest management plan. The project is about to enter the construction stage.
