Background Information
A forest survey covering some 12,000 square kilometers of north-central Greece is being carried out by a joint FAO-Greek Government team under a U.N. Special Fund project. The project is assessing the present extent of the forests and is helping the country to ready its resources and trained manpower for their eventual expansion and development to supply new forest industries.
