FORESTRY SURVEY AND DEVELOPMENT PROJECT. Republic of Korea, December 1968.
This United Nations Development Programme/Food and agriculture Organization (UNDP/FAO) project is assisting the Korean Government in surveying, restoring and developing the nation's forest resources. The project will be carried out mainly on a watershed basis, with pilot programmes of reforestation, erosion control and demonstration and training in these fields in the Sangju, Ansong Chon and Tongjin Gang watersheds. it is being financed by $499,200 from the UNDP Special Fund and more than $4 million from the Korean Government. Its planned duration is of five years. The WFP is providing foodfor labourers employed in the pilot programmes.
