GCP/AFG/040/GER: Under one of FAO's several Integrated Dairy Sector Development projects, local dairy cooperatives were established. At these local centers, like this one in Balkh, farmers milk is collected daily and fat tested by trained workers before it is brought in, still fresh, to the provincial dairy plant.
