UKRAINE 2024. Various FAO projects and areas of work across the country
25 April 2024. Kharkivska oblast, Ukraine. Volodymyr and Liudmyla Korniicha farm 130 hectares of land in the war-affected village of Kamianka. The couple lost their home, garden, and equipment and was forced to halt farming due to intense fighting. With support from FAO's demining programme, 30 hectares of their land have been cleared, and they received financial assistance for reconstruction and a voucher for agricultural inputs. Now, they are rebuilding their home and resuming farming, even as explosions from the frontline continue.
