Background Information
According to latest FAO-UNOSAT geospatial assessments, as of 23 April, an area of 427 ha of greenhouses in the Gaza Strip was damaged. The governorate of Khan Younis had the largest area of damaged greenhouses in ha (217 ha, 41.9% of all greenhouses).
The data indicates that heavy vehicle tracks, razing, shelling and other conflict-related pressures have significantly damaged agricultural infrastructure in the Gaza Strip.
