Background Information
The distribution is part of the Emergency Agricultural and Livelihood Support Project, funded by CERF and implemented by FAO through BCHR, to empower farmers in multiple governorates with essential resources for sustainable agriculture.
The Emergency Agricultural and Livelihood Support Project, funded by the Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) and implemented by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in collaboration with the Benevolence Coalition for Humanitarian Relief (BCHR), aims to enhance food security and resilience among vulnerable farming communities in Yemen. The project provides essential agricultural inputs such as onion and okra seeds, fertilizers, and tools to help farmers increase productivity and sustain their livelihoods. Additionally, it includes training and awareness sessions to promote sustainable farming practices. By empowering small-scale farmers in governorates like Marib, the initiative contributes to improving rural livelihoods, combating hunger, and fostering economic stability amid Yemen’s ongoing humanitarian crisis.
