Operations of this FAO project are located in the north of Togo and are mainly focused on farmers and the increase of agricultural production, improvement of resources, which are presently unexploited or under-exploited, livestock development in its relation to agriculture and the study and setting-up of a system of promoting technical, economical and social development of the rural sector in which the farmer is no longer assisted but becomes a full partner. Objectives of the project also include improvement of sanitary, hygienic and nutritional conditions in the whole region.
