Turkan Surkut is a Turkish citizen and is one out of 25 beneficiaries being trained on olive farm production during the On-the-job Training farms in Kemalpasha, province of Izmir, Turkey. This is under the OSRO/TUR/701/HCR targeting Syrian refugees and host community. Purposes of the OSRO/TUR/701/HCR FAO Project are to develop and build vocational skills of 900 people (70 % Syrian refugees and 30 % from host communities, and at least 30 % of participants will be selected from among women) in the agriculture sector (primary production and processing) and provide them sustainable employment opportunities in 5 provinces of South East Turkey (Adana, Isparta, Gaziantep, Mersin and Sanliurfa).
