Background Information
Vahid Mammadaliyev, a beneficiary from Idrisoba village in Khachmaz, explains how lack of knowledge in pruning and caring for hazelnut trees previously led to diminished motivation in the region.
However, after participating in the UTF/AZE/016/AZE - Catalyzing the Efficiency and Sustainability of Azerbaijan’s Hazelnut Sector project, he and other villagers learned proper hazelnut cultivation techniques. They now take pride in the successful products from their fields.
Supported by FAO under the 'Catalysing the Efficiency and Sustainability of Azerbaijan’s Hazelnut Sector - HAZER' project, Vahid has implemented sustainable practices and techniques to revitalize and enhance his hazelnut production.
